block party

I have been reading all the intros from the block party and something struck me. That so many do not have a Titus 2 woman to teach them. That has been my struggle my whole christain walk. I knew nothing of being a godly wife and mother. I learned most as I went, hince the title Stumbling Heavenward as that is how it seems to have been.

I am now an older woman, even though I hate to admit it. I so want to help others in the way I so desired myself. I am also stumbling through that but determined to try and be used by the God I serve.

I hope it is O.K. to jump in even though I am brand new at this Blog thing.

  1. Welcome to the party! Of course it is fine to jump in, glad to have you. I too have learned as I go, and am still learning. I pray the Lord bless you with women to encourage and teach what you have learned along the way.

Thank you so much for joining!

  2. Dear Stumbling Heavenward,
What a wonderful desire it is to want to be used of God! I am sure He will send ladies your way that need encouragement. I find He has done that with me over the years.

I am an older woman too. I have three daughters and 11 grandkids. I have always enjoyed helping them with the children. All I ever wanted to be in life was a Christian wife, mother, and grandmother. And that is what I am. I am very content. God is sooo good to me.

There have been many trials along the way, but we have all faced them together with God's guidance and love, and the help of other Christians.

I like this blog party idea and it is great to hear the others story of His grace in their lives.

I hope you will stop by my blog.
    Thanks!
    Linda

  3. What a beautiful heartfelt concern for younger women. I am one of the younger women who also like you have been stumbling Heavenward. I hope to learn a lot from Titus 2 women through their blogs and endless supply of books and online info. what I have learned has truley been a blessing to my family and I as I am forever growing in His wisdom. You can never learn too much I say. Be blessed!

  5. Jump right in! What a wonderful way to meet other like-minded women! I agree that so many of us have not had a Titus 2 woman in our lives to mentor and guide. I remember a pastor's wife saying over 20 years ago that the older women were meant to be teaching us (we were the younger ones then) but they weren't doing it. With more and more women staying in the workforce, it's probably happening even less. I also know that as a young woman there was a Bible study group for the young mothers and another one for the older ladies (perhaps so that our children wouldn't disrupt their study?) and I think now that this was a real shame. How can the older women teach the younger women if the two never meet?

It's so lovely to meet you. Hope you enjoy the party. Blessings, Jules

  6. I was lucky and had a wonderful Godly mother. She is gone now, so I am the 'older' generation. It seems so strange.

There is 'life' after children! There is also 'life' with children! Both are great.

I live to encourage people you. God bless.
